사단법인 한국프로축구선수협회가 악성 댓글과 전쟁을 선포했다.
한국프로축구선수협회는 12일 ” 한국프로축구선수협회 소속 선수들에 대한 무분별한 악성 댓글과 그 댓글을 다는 인터넷 사용자의 행위가 더는 용납할 수 없는 수준에 이르렀다고 판단했다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “현재 국제프로축구선수협회(이하 FIFPRO)에서 선수들을 보호하기 위해 악성 댓글 방지 프로그램을 진행 중”이라면서 “이에 발맞춰 한국프로축구선수협회는 선수는 물론 한국프로축구선수협회와 구단 그리고 팬들에게까지 상처를 주고있는 이러한 행위들을 더는 묵과할 수 없다”고 설명했다.

한국프로축구선수협회 김훈기 사무총장도 “선수들과 한국프로축구선수협회 그리고 각 구단은 팬들에게 받은 사랑을 돌려드리고자 노력하고 있다. 그런데 일부 네티즌들이 선수 본인에 대한 욕설뿐만 아니라 가족에게까지 악성 댓글을 달고 있으며, 이에 선수들과 가족들은 심리적 고통을 호소하고 있다”면서 “한국프로축구선수협회는 선수들을 보호하고자 한국프로축구선수협회 자문 변호사를 통해 상황을 지켜본 후 법적 대응까지 진행할 생각”이라고 강조했다.
특히 한국프로축구선수협회 김훈기 사무총장은 “선수들을 향한 악성 댓글을 제발 멈춰 달라. 악성 댓글은 선수들에게 있어 정말 큰 상처다. 특히 모욕 및 명예훼손 등 악의적인 비방과 무분별한 인신 공격성 발언들은 선수들에게 있어 플레이에 큰 방해가 된다”면서 “앞으로도 이런 악의적인 비방행위가 계속 발견될 경우 지속해 대응해 나갈 예정”이라고 덧붙였다.
또 한국프로축구선수협회 김훈기 총장은 “이젠 기사 댓글을 넘어 선수 개인 공간인 SNS 계정으로 악성 메시지를 보내고 계신다. 이 또한 예의주시하고 있다”고 밝혔다.
한편 한국프로축구선수협회는 최근 부쩍 심해진 선수들을 향한 도 넘은 악성 댓글에 예의주시하고 있으며, 선수들을 보호라기 위해 법적 대응을 검토하는 등 악성 댓글 근절을 위해 다양한 선수 보호활동을 펼칠 예정이다.
